Who am I ?

I created Muses and Metaphors Atelier as a place where art feels like home—story-rich, personal, and filled with quiet magic. My work is rooted in cultural curiosity, lived experience, and the belief that beauty is most meaningful when it creates a sense of belonging, and most powerful when it affirms life, invites curiosity, and connects us to one another. Beauty is all around us in everyday life, in imperfection, in novelty, and in familiarity.

I paint and design across many mediums—charcoal, ink, gouache, acrylics, and digital tools—always with an eye toward storytelling. My work grows from the belief that we are part of nature and that the divine is present in everything. My inspirations come from real people, the everyday, rituals, adventures both big and small, and the comforting magic of third spaces: bookshops, cafés, libraries, and gardens. I seek to capture moments of intimacy, novelty, and wonder.

Here in my studio, shared with a few very opinionated cats who ensure that every piece has a touch of feline-approved charm, I create art and patterns that invite reflection, joy, and connection. At heart, I’m a sensual explorer who delights in fully living—participating in each moment with passion, unreserved joy, and a readiness for meaningful challenges.  From a framed piece on your wall to a notebook that holds your daily thoughts, or fabric woven with story, each work is meant to feel personal; small portals of beauty—reminders that adventure and belonging are always close at hand.

Through Muses and Metaphors, I invite you into a circle of beauty, wonder, and community. Whether you discover my work online, through the mail, or in person, I hope it feels like an open door—welcoming, meaningful, and a little bit magical.
